Regarding the priority of developing app stability compared to adding more colours, more widgets and the like: If you value app stability over more features, you may wish to vote this 'feature request' up.
This is in no way intended to imply that the Loopy team isn't doing an AMAZING job - it's just a way for users to voice whether they would prefer finite time and budget to go into stability rather than features. (Since it's probably not everyone that aims to take Loopy out on stage.)
Background: I've been using Loopy HD for live looping gigs for almost a decade now. I'm trying to make the transition to Loopy Pro. Loopy
HD
does crash on stage from time to time and when it does, it completely loses the plot. Loopy Pro 1.x, is already a vast improvement since recovers much more gracefully and almost all of the stuff laid down is still there when you fire up again. This translates to a quick recovery on stage.
I understand there is significant re-work for 2.x which includes improving the stability. Loopy Pro is amazing so far. I can't wait to take it on stage once it crashes less.
Thanks to the Loopy Pro team for the incredible work to date. Dealing with 'shifting' operating systems and third party plug-ins makes is so much more complex since the 'crashes' aren't even necessarily because of the Loopy app per se.
