Sequencer View: Follow Cursor Mode + “Jump to Cursor” Button
ultracello
Problem:
When working in Sequencer mode, the playback cursor often scrolls out of view while the clock is running. Currently, the only way to make the view track the cursor again is to pause and resume the timeline. This disrupts the creative flow, especially with larger arrangements.
Requested Features:
- "Follow Cursor" toggle:
A button or setting that allows the view to automatically follow the playhead as it moves through the timeline. This could be toggled on or off, depending on user preference.
- "Jump to Cursor" button:
A one-click action to immediately bring the current playhead back into view, without pausing the timeline or manually scrolling.
Why it matters:
Live performers and arrangers working with long sequences need to keep the playhead in view for precise timing and control. These features would improve usability and workflow significantly.
Current workaround:
Pausing and resuming the timeline causes the cursor to reappear, but it’s not ideal during live performance or detailed editing.
