I'm not sure if this was a thing back then, but now you can program it that way manually.

Quick workaround: cover the desired area with a Text and empty text and assign the long press. It will still pass all other gestures through it. Also you can limit it to just a portion of a large XY pad, invisibly. Or be visible and use an emoji icon

This is already possible, isn’t it? I just tested it.
- I set a Double Tap action on the XY Pad
- Set it to Trigger Widget
- Selected the same XY Pad
- Set it to X-Value Change
- Then did the same thing again for a Y-Value Change
But perhaps I’m missing something here.

How about a relative mode?
How do you implement reset to default and other actions without losing the immediate response to tap? which should not be sacrificed, imo.

Implementing this as a double-tap option (long press I think is going to be a tad error-prone for an XY pad). It's a little bit of a manual process still; you have to enter custom mode, then add actions for double-tap. At some point in the future I'm probably going to add some additional UI to automate this setup.

when choosing long press for reset: show something like a "load" button to know always, that you have to move the XY Pad to avoid an unwanted reset.Bruno Pi
+1 for fast triple tap

Addition: while you slide with one of your finger for parameter changes (and
still holding
) you tap with a second finger for this reset function.Jason Huang
That would be sweet my man... Would save another widget doing that. 👌
