In addition to “record to next empty clip of color/globally” action, need an action to “Send clip to next empty clip of color/globally”.

This will allow the easy transfer of clips from one page to another, which is currently about a 10 tap process (open clip details, tap send button, tap copy, close details, change page, open destination clip details, tap import button, tap clipboard, tap import, close clip details)

With a send to next color action, I could set it as a swipe up and send the audio from one clip to another in one gesture. Ideally, one could choose an option of copy/paste (duplicate) or cut/paste for the action.
