This is a bit vague but Loopy is becoming such an advanced and excellent piece of software I see an interesting path for it. Loopy could be an amazing companion app that fills in a lot of the gaps with other software and devices. Many users don’t have the time or skill to make elaborate templates and most hardware devices have large flaws.
Specifically in sampling and arranging. Loopy is the best looping platform bar none, but it’s also a great sampling and chopping host. A good controller and loopy would be better than MPC, Push 3, SP404 etc with a small amount of workflow optimization and premade templates.
For example Push 3 would be so much better if there was a large touchscreen and samples could move back and forth (may not be possible) I could see a world where loopy had premade templates optimized for APC, LPP etc to emulate MPC and other hardware. This would be a gateway for hardware collaborations where Loopy would ship with the hardware like Ableton does etc.
There is a large market for users want less options and a “turn it on and it works” device. This is the appeal to MPC, Digitakt, SP404, Aeros guitar Looper, Boss etc. All limited devices vs most software but tactile with muscle memory workflow.
A perfectly mapped template that shipped with any of the top Ableton controllers and maximized their functions while combining a looper and sampler would have large market appeal I think.
