Fullscreen Mode: Hide Header and Footer
planned
ultracello
Description:
Users want the ability to hide or minimize the header and footer when using Loopy Pro in fullscreen mode, especially when using the app as a MIDI control surface or in performance setups. This would provide more screen real estate and a cleaner, more professional interface.
Problem:
Currently, the header and footer in Loopy Pro take up valuable screen space, which can be distracting or obstructive, particularly when using the app as a control surface in live settings. The inability to hide these elements makes it harder to fully utilize the screen.
Additionally, users would like more flexibility in customizing the Loopy Pro interface. The current UI setup includes global and fundamental buttons/faders that are always visible, which can be unnecessary or even obstructive for certain use cases. For example, some users may only want the clock visible without other UI elements.
Proposed Solution:
Introduce a fullscreen mode where users can toggle the visibility of the header and footer, either via a gesture, a button in the UI, or a MIDI-assignable action. Ideally, the toggle could be linked to an action that also switches between fullscreen and normal mode.
Furthermore, allow all current global and essential UI buttons/faders to be created as separate actions. This would enable users to build a completely customized Loopy Pro DAW appearance by selecting only the UI elements they need while omitting the rest.
Benefits:
- Maximizes screen real estate, especially on smaller devices.
- Improves the professional appearance of control surfaces.
- Offers flexibility when transitioning between editing and performance.
- Allows users to tailor the interface to their specific needs by displaying only the necessary UI components.
- Reduces visual clutter and enhances focus during live performances.

Show/hide side panels

The side panels are essential most times but they also take lots of pixels on smaller screens and when loopy pro is used as plugin.
Having a preference setting , gesture or even a action to show/hide them in 'play' mode would be really great.
Ofcourse they will always be visible in edit mode.

Simple swiping gesture at a corner to return to normal screen.

Ideally switching between normal Loopy Pro UI and fullscreen is possible via keyboard short cut (CMD+F or so), via action (from another iPad/iPhone thanks cross-device canvas), via MIDI.

...ah, maybe not CMD+

ultracello: could be a single widget switch button in the UI to do.

Addition: hide / un-hide via MIDI command / MIDI assignable action button and follow action
