Checkboxes for Deactivating Specific Action and Follow Action Entry, and Full List
planned
ultracello
Description:
Loopy Pro users would benefit from the ability to enable or disable specific actions and follow action entries via checkboxes. This feature would streamline live setups by allowing users to quickly toggle actions without needing to delete them entirely.
Problem:
Currently, to deactivate an action or MIDI binding, users must delete it. This makes it cumbersome to experiment with different setups or quickly make adjustments during a performance. Additionally, there is no visual indication of which bindings are active or inactive.
Proposed Solution:
- Introduce checkboxes next to each action and MIDI binding for quick enable/disable functionality.
- Inactive bindings should be visually greyed out for better clarity.
- Display a summary of total actions, showing both active and inactive counts, with a clear distinction (e.g., green for active, red for inactive).
- Allow toggling of follow actions globally or per project/color/clip.
- Include a widget for quick control over enabling/disabling actions and follow actions.
Benefits:
- Faster and more intuitive control over action setups.
- Improved usability for live performance adjustments.
- Reduced risk of accidentally deleting important setups.

Checkboxes to de/activate MIDI bindings (instead of hardcore delete it) plus grey out inactive MIDI bindings
ultracello
If I'm not wrong currently it's only possible to
add
a MIDI binding and delete
it. Sometimes it's useful just to deactivate some specific MIDI bindings. Maybe a small checkbox positioned left to each MIDI binding could be a good help. If a binding is unchecked = MIDI binding is deactivated. I also would suggest to grey out (for super fast workflow for your eyes) each unchecked MIDI binding. Also I would suggest to show per each MIDI binding profile (both for global profile and project profiles), the number of active and inactive MIDI bindings. Examples:
23 bindings (total) – 22 active – 1 inactive
19 bindings (total) – 19 active
31 bindings (total) – 27 active – 4 inactive
*(Suggestion: red font-color for total number of
inactive
MIDI bindings and green font-color for total active
MIDI bindings.)*Same for OSC – if this makes sense.

Is there a way to do this? Would be really handy!
In the whole project, per colour or per clip.

Already suggested this. Also a global follow actions on/off would be great!
ultracello
Imran Khan: Yes, and also this ideally with full access via MIDI and action widgets.

That would be great, of course.
